Biography

The Hon. Veronica L. Vasquez is a judge for the Bexar County Probate Court No. 2 in Texas. Vasquez was elected to the bench on November 6, 2018.

While on the bench, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Bexar County Senior Assessment Center.

Prior to her election, Vasquez managed her own private practice, where she handled probate and guardianship matters. In addition to her solo practice, she also spent time as a managing staff attorney and as director of the Guardianship and Probate Department at Catholic Charities in San Antonio.

She received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. Vasquez then completed a J.D. at the University of Texas School of Law in 2008.

Vasquez was co-chair of the Bexar County Elder Abuse and Exploitation Task Force and served as director of the Guardianship and Probate Department at Catholic Charities.

She received the Barbara F. Kishpaugh Elder Advocate Award (2020) and the Safeguarding Older Texas Award from the Texas Elder Justice Coalition (2025).

Vasquez was born and raised in Houston, Texas.

She is registered as a Democrat.
