Biography

The Hon. Tracy A. Gilbert is a judge for the 418th District Court of Texas in Montgomery County. He was elected to the bench in 2008.

Gilbert earned a B.B.A. from Texas A&M University in 1989. Then, in 1992, he completed a J.D. at Baylor University School of Law. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law, Family Law, Child Welfare Law, and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

After graduating from law school, Gilbert entered into private practice. He spent the next seventeen years handling family law cases in Montgomery County.

His memberships have included the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists, the Supreme Court of Texas Uniform Forms Task Force, the Montgomery Bar Association, the Woodlands Bar Association, and the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.

He has also been actively involved with the Woodlands United Methodist Church, Upward Sports League, South Montgomery County YMCA, Magnolia Little League Baseball Association, and the i9 Sports League.
