Biography

The Hon. Timothy P. Barnack is a judge for the 1st Judicial District Circuit Court of Oregon. He was elected to the bench in 2008 and re-elected in 2014 and 2020.

The 1st Judicial District encompasses Jackson County.

Barnack earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon in 1988. He then completed a J.D. at Lewis & Clark Law School in 1991.

After graduating from law school, Barnack began his legal career as an attorney in private practice. He worked in that capacity until 1996, at which time he became a deputy district attorney for the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office.

Raised in Alaska, Barnack attended Juneau-Douglas High School.
