Biography

The Hon. Timothy M. Frawley (Ret.) was a judge for the Sacramento County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2002 by former governor Gray Davis. At the time of his appointment, he filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. John Lewis (Ret.). Frawley's vacancy was filled by the Hon. Kristina B. Lindquist. Frawley retired from the bench in 2018.

He received his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College. He would go on to earn his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1976.

Outside of the bench, Frawley spent 25 years working for the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office. He joined the D.A.'s office in 1977, where he started out as a deputy district attorney. Prior to his appointment to the Superior Court, Frawley had been promoted to principal deputy district attorney for the D.A.'s Major Crimes Division.

He was named the Brian L. Hintz Memorial Outstanding Prosecutor of the Year in 2001.
