The Hon. Thomas M. Anderson is a judge for the Nevada County Superior Court in California. He has held the position since 2007.
Judge Anderson received his B.A. from Kent State University in 1973. He went on to earn his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1981.
He first worked as an attorney in private practice, where he specialized in both criminal and civil law.
Then, after fourteen years in the private sector, Anderson became the public defender for Lassen County in 1996 and then for Nevada County in 2000, where he would remain until assuming the bench in 2007.
Anderson also served as a judge pro tem.
During his tenure on the Superior Court, Judge Anderson served as an Assistant Presiding Judge and as the Presiding Judge of the Court. Judge Anderson has also served as the presiding judge of the Nevada County Grand Jury since 2010.
