Judge Therese A. Hannah: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

Hon. Therese A. Hannah is a magistrate for the Marion County Superior Court in Indiana. She began the position in 2020.

Since that time, Hannah has presided over mass tort and environmental dockets and supports the criminal misdemeanor courts. She first joined the bench as a special master for the Marion County Superior Court in 2009. As such, Hannah presided over the asbestos docket.

Her legal career also includes working as a private practice attorney and an appellate court clerk.

She received a B.A. in political science and history from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 1979. Hannah went on to complete a J.D. at Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1982. She was admitted to practice in Indiana in 1982.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys baking, reading, swimming, taking walks, and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

She is registered as a Republican.
