Biography

The Hon. Susan F. Greenhawt (Ret.) was a judge for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Broward County. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jeb Bush in 2003. Greenhawt retired on June 30, 2012, to become a mediator.


She held an assignment in the Probate Division and was an administrative judge of the Unified Family Court.


Prior to her appointment, Greenhawt handled marital and family law matters as a partner at Chorowski & Greenhawt, P.A. Board certified in marital and family law, she served as a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.


She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University. Greenhawt then spent eighteen years as a nurse before completing a J.D. at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, in 1993.
