Biography

The Hon. Stefania C. Jancewicz is a judge for the Osceola County Court in Florida. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jeb Bush in 2006.

Over the course of her judicial career, Jancewicz has held assignments in the Criminal Division (2006 to 2012; 2017 to 2021) and the Civil Division (2013 to 2016; 2022) of the Osceola County Court.

Jancewicz earned a bachelor’s degree in English and secondary education from Flagler College in 1991. She then completed a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law in 1996.

After graduating from law school, Jancewicz entered into private practice, specializing in family law matters for eight years. Then, in 2004, she was named magistrate for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court.

Her memberships have included the Osceola County Bar Association (president), the Orange County Bar Association, and the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers. She also chaired the Grievance Committee of the Florida Bar (2002 to 2004).

Raised in New Jersey, Jancewicz moved to Florida in 1985.
