Biography

Hon. Stacy M. Rocheleau is a judge for the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada. She was elected to the bench in the November 2020 general election.

Rocheleau received a B.A. in business administration from Whittier College in 1991. She went on to earn a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1996.

She began her legal career as an associate litigating construction defect cases with Lee & Russel in 2001. She remained there until opening her own law firm in 2003. In addition to her law practice, Rocheleau also served as the founding and managing partner of Right Lawyers in 2003 and as a managing partner at Adams & Rocheleau LLC from 2005 to 2008.

While at Right Lawyers, she handled divorce, legal separation, uncontested divorce, and child custody issues.

After her election to the bench, Rocheleau has presided on the Family Court.

She was a past-president of the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys and a member of the Ask a Lawyer Attorney Program. She was also on the Board of Directors of Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, which provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with shoes and socks.

Rocheleau has provided pro bono legal services to the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.

She is married and has three daughters. Besides spending time with her family, Rocheleau enjoys reading and hiking with her rescue dog.
