Hon. Sean P. Crandell is a judge for the Riverside County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Gavin Newsom in 2021, filling the vacancy of a newly created position.
Prior to his appointment, Crandell was a senior deputy district attorney with the Riverside County District Attorney's Office, having served in that capacity since 2014. After joining the office in 1996, he held several positions including deputy district attorney and law clerk.
Crandell received a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego in 1995. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of San Diego School of Law in 1998. While a law student, he was a member of the USD Law Review and served as an intern for adjunct law professor Alex Landon.
At the time of his appointment, Crandell resided in Temecula, California.
He is registered as a Democrat.
