Biography

The Hon. Sandre M. Streete is a judge for the 256th District Court in Dallas County, Texas. She was elected to the bench on November 8, 2022.

Prior to her election, Streete was an attorney at the Moncriffe Law Firm, a practice she opened in 2017. She specialized in family law matters, handling divorce, child welfare, property division, enforcement, and custody cases. Before that, she spent time as an assistant district attorney for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office (2011 to 2017).

Streete earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Wiley College in 1993. She then completed a J.D. at St. Mary's University School of Law in 1999.

After graduating from law school, Streete began her legal career as assistant regional counsel to the U.S. Social Security Administration in San Francisco. She served in that capacity until 2003, at which time she entered into private practice, working as a managing attorney at the Law Office of Sandre Streete Moncriffe in Dallas.

Her memberships have included the Texas Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Annette Stewart American Inn of Court. She has also served on the Board of Trustees for the DeSoto Independent School District, and she has been involved with the Girl Scouts, the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the Dallas NAACP, and the Texas Coalition of Black Democrats.

Streete and her husband have two children. The family attends Concord Baptist Church.

She is registered as a Democrat.
