Overview

The Hon. Sabrina M. Schneweis-Coe is a judge for the San Joaquin County Superior Court in California[1]. Schneweis-Coe was appointed to the bench by Governor Gavin Newsom on October 5, 2023, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Anthony Lucaccini[2].

Educational background

Schneweis-Coe earned a bachelor's degree from California State University, Sacramento. At the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, she completed a J.D. in 1999. She was admitted to the State Bar of California (2000).

Career history

After her admission to the bar, Schneweis-Coe began her legal career as an associate at Drobny Law Offices Inc. (2000 to 2002). She then became partner and owner of Schneweis-Coe & Bakken, Attorneys at Law (2002 to 2010). In 2010, Schneweis-Coe joined Downey Brand LLP as counsel, remaining there until 2014. She returned to Schneweis-Coe & Bakken LLP as a partner (2014 to 2019). In 2019, Schneweis-Coe became supervising probate attorney for the San Joaquin County Superior Court.

Her professional credentials have included certification in estate planning, trust, and probate law through the State Bar of California.

Personal life

Schneweis-Coe is registered as a Democrat[3].
