Judge Robin W. Adair - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Robin W. Adair is a special judge for the Muskogee County District Court (District 15) in Oklahoma. He was appointed to the bench in August 1985.

During his judicial tenure, Adair has presided over the adult drug court program and the misdemeanor and felony court docket and served as an alternate judge for the juvenile drug court program.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in 1978. Adair went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1983. While a law student, he was an intern for the Muskogee County District Attorney’s Office along with working for several local attorneys in private practice.

After law school, Adair remained with the county’s District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney. He continued in that capacity until joining the bench.

He is a past president of the Muskogee County Bar Association.

Adair was also a former chairman of the Neosho District Boy Scout Council, the Judicial Committee of the Eastern Oklahoma Presbytery, and the Salary Commission of the Cherokee Nation. In addition, he sat as a member of the Eastern Oklahoma Spelling Bee Committee and the Muskogee Air Show Committee.

Adair was born in Los Angeles, California. He moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma, with his mother after the death of his father, and he later graduated from Muskogee High School (1974). He and his wife, Alice, have two grown children.
