Biography

The Hon. Robert B. Meadows is a judge for the 19th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. He was elected to the bench in 2018.

The 19th Judicial Circuit encompasses Indian River County, Martin County, Okeechobee County, and Saint Lucie County. Meadows has held assignments in Indian River County, presiding over felony, juvenile, and appellate cases.

Prior to his election, Meadows worked as a sole practitioner at his own law firm for thirteen years. In that capacity, he specialized in criminal and family law as well as civil litigation.

Meadows received his bachelor's degree from Barry University, Miami. He went on to earn a J.D. from Appalachian School of Law in 2004.

His memberships have included the Indian River County Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Indian River Taxpayers Association, and the Saint Lucie County Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Indian River Federal Credit Union.

He was born in Vero Beach, Florida. He spent sixteen years as a law enforcement officer with the Indian River County Sheriff's Office. During his tenure there, he sat in the Road Patrol, Traffic, and Detective Divisions, retiring having reached the rank of lieutenant in 1997.
