Biography

Hon. Richard L. Hertzberg is a judge for the Vicinage 3 Superior Court in Burlington County in New Jersey. He was appointed to the bench in 2017.

During his judicial tenure, Hertzberg has held assignments in the Family Division (2017 to 2021) and Civil Division (2021 to present) in Burlington County.

Prior to his appointment, he was a long-time partner in the Litigation Department at .

Hertzberg received an A.B. at Lafayette College in 1985. He went on to complete a J.D. at Columbia Law School in 1988.

Hertzberg was admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
