The Hon. Rabeea Sultan Collier is a judge of the One Hundred Thirteenth District Court in Harris County, Texas. She took office on January 1, 2019 and her term ends in 2022. She won the general election in November 2018.
Collier was a private practice attorney. She worked for The Sultan Law Firm and specialized in litigation, including general contractual matters, consumer law, civil rights, and deceptive trade practices. For eight consecutive years, Collier had been awarded the Rising Star Award by Super Lawyers.
She earned her B.A. in government from the University of Texas-Austin and a J.D. from Texas Southern University.
Collier has served as a board member of the Association of Women Attorneys and the Harris County Democratic Lawyers' Association. She has also served as a member of the Women in the Profession Committee of the State Bar of Texas, as a co-chair of the Solo Practitioners Section of the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and as a member of the Houston Branch of the NAACP.
She worked on grassroots efforts for national and local Democratic candidates. She has fundraised for national and local Democratic candidates and clubs.
Collier is married to Robert Collier, an attorney. They have two children and live in North Houston. She identifies as a Pakistani-American and as a Muslim. Collier is a native Houstonian.
She is a Democrat.
