The Hon. R. Michael Wagner is a judge for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. He was initially elected to the bench in 2008, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Joe Dandurand.
Wagner earned a bachelor’s degree from Rockhurst College in 1986. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1990. He is admitted to practice in Missouri (1990) and Kansas (1991).
After graduating from law school, Wagner entered into private practice. He served in that capacity until his election to the bench, supplementing his practice with service as a municipal judge for Garden City and the City of Raymore (2006 to 2008).
His memberships have included the National Rifle Association, the Bel-Ray Lions Club, and the Board of Directors of Casco.
