Biography

The Hon. Peter B. Skolnik (Ret.) was a judge for the Broward County Court in Florida. He joined the bench in 1990. Skolnik did not seek re-election in 2016.

He held an assignment in the Civil Division.

He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1965. Skolnik then completed a J.D. at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law in 1983.

Prior to beginning his legal career, he was a songwriter, flea market entrepreneur, and ballroom dance instructor. Skolnik also served in the Peace Corps and spent one year as a manufacturer’s representative in Japan.
