Biography

The Hon. Paige B. McThenia is a judge for the Mecklenburg County District Court in the 26th Judicial District of North Carolina. She joined the bench in 2008.

Prior to beginning her judicial career, McThenia worked as an assistant district attorney with the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office since 2004. Before that, she was in private practice for four years (2000 to 2004).

McThenia received a B.A. in English language and literature from Evergreen State College (1989) and a master’s degree in English language and literature from Boston University (1995). She then completed a J.D. at Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2000.

McThenia is registered as a Democrat.
