Judge P. Nicholas Nazaretian: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

The Hon. P. Nicholas Nazaretian is a judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Hillsborough County. He was appointed to the bench in 2011.

Prior to his appointment, Nazaretian sat as a judge for the Hillsborough County Court, a position to which he was named in 2001. Before that, he spent one year as an associate at Griffen and Associates.

Nazaretian earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida. He then completed a J.D. at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law.

After graduating from law school, Nazaretian began his legal career as an assistant public defender with the Pinellas County Public Defender’s Office. Then, in 1990, he joined the Office of the State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit, where he served as an assistant state attorney until 2000.
