Biography

The Hon. Nina N. Wright-Padilla is a judge for the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. Wright-Padilla was elected to the bench in 2003. She was subsequently retained in 2013.

Over the course of her judicial career, Wright-Padilla has held assignments in the Motions & Statutory Appeals Program of the Civil Trial Division as well as the Criminal Trial Division and the Domestic Relations Branch of the Family Court.

Prior to her election, Wright-Padilla maintained a private law practice with her husband, Edward C. Wright. They specialized in consumer bankruptcy, general litigation, and criminal law matters.

Wright-Padilla earned a B.S. from the University of Maryland in 1988. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 1992.

Her memberships have included the Board of View and Board of Revision of Taxes Committee for the Court of Common Pleas.
