Biography

The Hon. Natasha R. Kennedy is a judge for the Domestic Relations, Probate, and Juvenile Division of the Logan County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio. She was elected to the bench by Governor Mike DeWine on August 2, 2021, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Dan Bratka.

Kennedy has presided over the Family Treatment Court, a specialized docket certified by the Ohio Supreme Court. She also spent time on the Adult Recovery Court for the Hon. William T. Goslee.

Prior to her appointment, Kennedy presided as a magistrate for the Family Division (2019 to 2021) and the General Division (2017 to 2019) of the Logan County Court of Common Pleas. Before that, she was an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office (2014 to 2017).

Kennedy earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology from Ohio University in 2009. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Akron School of Law in 2013.

Her memberships have included the Ohio State Bar Association, the Logan County Bar Association, the Ohio Association of Magistrates, and the Ohio Child Support Enforcement Agency Directors Association. She has also been involved with the Kiwanis Club of Bellefontaine (president), the Jo Ann Davidson Leadership Institute, the Logan County Community Action Planning Board, the Logan County Law Library Resources Board, the Board of Directors of Discovery Riders, and the Ohio Attorney General’s Mental Health Task Force.

She and her husband, Andy (a Bellefontaine Police Sergeant), have two sons. Kennedy is a Ruling Elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine.
