Biography

The Hon. Nancy Case Shaffer is a judge for the Superior Court of Sonoma County in California. She was elected to the bench in 2010, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Elaine Rushing.

Shaffer earned a B.A. from the University of California. She then completed a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.

Prior to her election to the bench, Shaffer served as a court commissioner for the Superior Court of Sonoma County. Before that, she was a civil litigator at Beyers Costin in Santa Rosa.

She has been a member of the Sonoma County Superior Court Settlement Conference Panel. She has also served as President of the Sonoma County Bar Association.

She was a resident of Glen Ellen, California at the time of her election.
