Biography

The Hon. Michael E. Raiden (Ret.) served as a judge for the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Charlie Crist in 2008.


The 10th Judicial Circuit encompasses Hardee County, Highlands County, and Polk County.


Prior to his appointment, Raiden was a judge for the Polk County Court, a position to which he was named by former Governor Lawton Chiles in 1994. Before that, he spent time as a senior staff attorney for the Florida Second District Court of Appeal as well as an assistant public defender with the 2nd Circuit Public Defender's Office.


Raiden earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1978.
