Biography

Hon. Mary W. Greaves is a family court commissioner for the 21st Judicial Circuit Court (Division 65) of Missouri. She was appointed to the bench in 1996.

The 21st Judicial Circuit includes St. Louis County.

During her judicial tenure, Greaves has presided over Juvenile Court dockets, traffic dockets, and domestic relations matters.

While on the bench, she maintained her own private practice, the Greaves Law Firm since 2013. Before that, she worked as a staff attorney and prosecuting attorney in the Juvenile Division of the Family Court in St. Louis County (1994 to 1996) and practiced with Dunlop & Lang Attorneys at Law, where she began as a law clerk in 1989 and continued as an attorney until 1994.

She received a B.S. in business administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1988. Greaves went on to complete a J.D. at Saint Louis University School of Law in 1991.

Her memberships have included the Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges, the St. Louis County Bar Association, and the Women Lawyers’ Association.

Greaves was a former Girls Scout leader and served as a past president of the Webster Groves Swim and Dive Team and a past vice-president of the Bristol School PTO.

She was born and raised in Kirkwood, Missouri. She is a member of Holy Redeemer Parish.
