The Hon. Leah G. Robertson is a judge for the 385th District Court in Midland County, Texas. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Greg Abbott on August 24, 2020, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Robin Malone Darr.
Robertson earned a B.S. in government from Texas Woman’s University in 2004. She then completed a J.D. at Texas Tech University School of Law in 2006.
After graduating from law school, Robertson began her legal career as an assistant district attorney in the Midland County District Attorney’s Office. During her five-year tenure there, she rose through the ranks, quickly becoming Trial Team Chief.
Then, in 2012, Robertson left the Midland County District Attorney’s Office. She became an attorney for the Midland Independent School District, where she advised the Board of Trustees, the Superintendent, and all administrative staff on all legal issues. Robertson served in that capacity until 2018, at which time she became staff counsel for the Medical Center Hospital (2019) and of counsel for Ward & Myers (2019 to 2020).
Her memberships have included the Midland County Bar Association and the Texas Bar Foundation. She has also served as president of the Midland Community Theatre, Safe Place of Permian Basin, and Executive Women of Midland.
Robertson is a veteran of the United States Army. She was stationed in Katterbach, Germany, where she served as an avionics mechanic.
