Judge Kristin G. Farmer: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

The Hon. Kristin G. Farmer is a judge for the General Division of the Stark County Court of Common Pleas in Ohio. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Kasich on December 21, 2012, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Charles E. Brown, Jr.

Prior to her appointment, Farmer served as a magistrate for the Hon. Sara Lioi and the Hon. Lee Sinclair of the Stark County Court of Common Pleas, a position to which she was selected in 2003.

Farmer earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in 1998. She then completed a J.D. at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2001.

After graduating from law school, Farmer began her legal career as an assistant city prosecutor for the City of Alliance Law Department.

A resident of Alliance, Farmer is the daughter of the Hon. Sheila Farmer, a retired judge of the Ohio Fifth District Court of Appeals. She is also married to David W. Bair, a Sergeant for the Alliance Police Department.

She is registered as a Republican.
