Biography

The Hon. Kinna Patel Crocker is a judge for the Sonoma County Superior Court in California. Crocker was appointed to the bench by Governor Gavin Newsom on October 5, 2023, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Hon. Arthur Wick.

While on the bench, Crocker has heard family law tentative rulings.

Prior to her appointment, she was a sole practitioner at her own private practice, a law firm she established in 2013. During this time, she specialized in family law and LGBTQ legal issues. Before that, Crocker spent time as an associate at Terre Family Law (2011 to 2013), Lozano Smith (2010 to 2011), and Northern California Family Law Group (2004 to 2008).

She received a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. Crocker then completed a J.D. at the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2002.

After graduating from law school, she began her legal career as an intern and later as an associate at Molina Healthcare, Inc., in Sacramento. She continued in that capacity until 2003.

Crocker was named one of the Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40.

She was born in London, England, to Indian parents. The middle child of three sisters, her family immigrated to the United States when she was two years old, settling in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Crocker became a naturalized citizen as a teenager. She is married to Ashle Crocker, an assistant city attorney in Santa Rosa. They are raising twin daughters.

She is registered as a Democrat.
