Biography

The Hon. Kimberly K. Anderson is a judge for the DeKalb County State Court in Georgia. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Brian Kemp on November 1, 2019.

Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies and Spanish from the University of Mississippi in 2006. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Alabama School of Law in 2009. She was an inductee of the Order of Barristers and a fellow of the Blackburn Institute.

After graduating from law school, Anderson began her legal career as legislative counsel to the Committee on the Judiciary in the United States Senate. She worked in that capacity until 2010, at which time she entered into private practice. Anderson spent the remainder of her career with Robbins Ross Alloy Belinfante Littlefield, representing clients in complex matters involving state and federal government agencies. She also defended the State of Georgia against allegations of State and Federal constitutional violations.

Her memberships have included the Georgia Bar Association, the DeKalb Bar Association, and the Bleckley Inn of Court. She also sat on the Executive Board of the Federalist Society.

Anderson resides in Dunwoody, Georgia, with her husband and two children.
