Biography

The Hon. Kent L. Wingenroth is a judge for the Doña Ana County Magistrate Court in New Mexico. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Bill Richardson in 2006, filling a vacancy created by the removal of the Hon. Carlos Garza.


Prior to his appointment, Wingenroth was a federal court security officer with AKAL Security.


Wingenroth earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from York College.


A resident of Doña Ana County since 1981, Wingenroth graduated from the New Mexico State Police Academy. He then served with the New Mexico State Police until 2001.
