Biography

The Hon. Kenneth P. Sherman is a Justice for the Kings County Supreme Court (Civil Term) in the Second Judicial District of New York. Prior to his election to the bench in 2014, Sherman served as a judge for the Civil Court of the City of New York in Richmond County from 2006 to 2013.

Sherman earned a B.S. from the City College of New York in 1989. He then completed a J.D. at Brooklyn Law School in 1992.

After graduating law school, Sherman joined the New York State Unified Court System. He served as a court attorney for the Hon. Lila Gold of the Civil Court of the City of New York in Kings County from 1994 to 2005.
