Biography

The Hon. Kathleen M. McCumber is a judge on the Galveston County Justice of the Peace Court (Precinct 4) in Texas. She was elected to the bench on November 5, 2002.

In addition to her judicial service, McCumber maintains her own private practice as a sole practitioner, representing clients in family law matters. She also supplements her practice with service as a judge on the League City Municipal Court.

McCumber earned a J.D. from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, in 1994. She was licensed to practice in Texas (1994).

Her memberships have included Clear Creek Republican Women.

A lifelong resident of Galveston County, McCumber attended Clear Creek High School.
