Biography

Hon. Joseph M. Cataldo is an associate judge for the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. He was elected to the Circuit Court by the Cook Circuit judges in 2012.


While on the bench, Cataldo has held an assignment in the Preliminary Hearings and Bond Call Section of the Third Municipal District.


He completed a J.D. at John Marshall Law School in 1992.


Prior to joining the bench, Cataldo had worked with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office since graduating from law school. During his tenure there, he served in the Criminal Division, Felony Trials Division, and the Civil Litigation Division.
