Biography

Hon. John R. Miraldi is a judge for the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas (General Division) in Ohio. He was elected to the bench on November 6, 2012.


While on the Court of Common Pleas, Miraldi created and presided over the Lorain County Recovery Court (Drug Court), a specialized docket that was certified by the Ohio Supreme Court. The court began in 2015.


He received a B.A. in business administration and political science from Heidelberg College. Miraldi went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Toledo College of Law.


Prior to joining the judiciary, he maintained a solo practice, John R. Miraldi Co., LPA, where he handled civil litigation matters. He had worked as a private practice attorney for twenty-five years (1987 to 2012).


Miraldi was highly recommended by the Lorain County Bar Association.


Miraldi is the cousin of the Hon. James L. Miraldi, who also presides as a judge for the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas. He is married and has three grown children.
