Biography

Hon. Evan A. Kitahara is a commissioner for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California.


Prior to joining the bench, he spent twenty-three years as a deputy public defender with the Law Offices of Los Angeles County Public Defender.


Kitahara received a B.A. from the University of California in 1990. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of San Diego School of Law in 1996.


He was admitted to practice in California in 1997.


Kitahara was a former Peace Corps volunteer.
