Biography

The Hon. Christopher M. LaBruzzo is a judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Scott in 2018, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. John A. Schaefer.

The 6th Judicial Circuit encompasses Pasco County and Pinellas County. LaBruzzo has held assignments in Pinellas County, presiding over cases in the Family Division.

Prior to his appointment, LaBruzzo was an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney for the 6th Judicial Circuit.

LaBruzzo received his bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida. He went on to earn a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law.
