Biography

The Hon. Christopher M. Honigsberg is a judge for the Superior Court of Sonoma County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown in 2018, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Elliot L. Daum.

Honigsberg earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He then completed a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2005.

He began his legal career in 2006. He first served as a deputy district attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Tulare County. Then, in 2009, he transferred to the Office of the District Attorney of Sonoma County.

Honigsberg has served as a board member of Social Advocates for Youth.

Born and raised in Berkeley, Honigsberg was a resident of Petaluma at the time of his appointment.

He is registered as a Democrat.
