Biography

Hon. Christopher J. Spataro is a judge for the Elkhart County Superior Court in Indiana. He joined the bench in 2021.

Prior to beginning his judicial career, Spataro was a partner in the Elkhart office of Tuesley Hall Konopa, LLP, where he had practiced since 2017. Before that, he was vice president of Human Resources at Genesis Products (2016 to 2017) and a partner at Faegre Baker Daniels, LLP (2012 to 2016) and Baker & Daniels (2000 to 2011).

Spataro received a bachelor’s degree in political science and psychology from New York University. He went on to complete a J.D. at Notre Dame Law School in 1996. While a law student, Spataro was president of the Student Bar Association.

After graduating from law school, he began his legal career as an associate at Pfaff, Brotherson & Killoren, LLP (1996 to 2000).

Spataro was listed on the Pro Bono Legal Service Honor Roll by Faegre Baker Daniels, LLP in 2016. He also received the Kiwanian of the Year Award from the Elkhart Noon Kiwanis Club (2012) and the Forty Under 40 Award from the Multiple Michiana Chamber of Commerce (2007).

Spataro has resided in Elkhart County since 1996.

He is registered as a Republican.
