Biography

The Hon. Christina M. DiRaimondo is a judge for the 11th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Miami-Dade County. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2019, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Diane V. Ward.

Prior to her appointment, DiRaimondo was a judge for the Miami-Dade County Court, a position to which she was named by former Governor Rick Scott in 2018. Before that, she spent time as an assistant state attorney with the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office. During her tenure there, she specialized in the prosecution of homicide, juvenile, and domestic cases.

DiRaimondo earned a B.A. in broadcast journalism from Iona College in 2006. She then completed a J.D. at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, in 2010. As a law student, DiRaimondo was the senior editor of the Law Review Journal.

Her memberships have included the Dade County Bar Association, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the Cuban Bar Association, the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association, the Heidi Hewes Women’s Cancer Association, the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Great Miami.

Born and raised in Miami-Dade County, DiRaimondo attended Saint Patrick’s Catholic School in Miami Beach. She later attended Archbishop Curley-Notre Dame High School in Miami.

She is registered as a Republican.
