Hon. Cheryl A. Rowles-Stokes is a judge for the Arapahoe County Court in Colorado. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Hickenlooper in 2012.
Her docket includes civil, misdemeanor, and traffic cases.
Prior to her appointment, Rowles-Stokes served as the chief deputy district attorney for the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office since 2001.
She received a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Colorado Christian University and a master’s degree in business from Jones International University. Rowles-Stokes went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 1994.
She also worked as a vice president of Human Resources for High Speed Access Corp. and the director of Human Resources and Legal for Rifkin & Associates.
Rowles-Stokes served as a board member of the Sam Cary Scholarship Endowment Fund.
When not presiding over legal matters, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her eight grandchildren.
