Hon. Chantel E. Contiguglia is a judge for the Arapahoe County Court in Colorado. She was appointed to the bench by Governor John Hickenlooper in 2018.
During her judicial tenure, Contiguglia has served as the presiding county court judge in Arapahoe County, where her docket includes criminal misdemeanor and traffic cases.
Prior to her appointment, she handled complex criminal law matters as a senior deputy state public defender with the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender in Jefferson County, where she began her legal career in 2007.
Contiguglia received a B.A. from Mesa State University in 2002. She went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2007.
Contiguglia has volunteered in mock trial competitions and is an instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
A native of Colorado, she was raised in Walden.
