The Hon. Casey L. Blair is a judge for the 86th District Court in Kaufman County, Texas. He was elected to the bench in 2014.
Blair earned a B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 2000. He spent the next several years working as a teacher at Mesquite Independent School District (2000 to 2003) as well as a marketing and legal liaison for the Texas Tech University Office of Technology Transfer (2004 to 2006). Then, in 2006, he completed an M.B.A. and a J.D. from Texas Tech University.
After graduating from law school, Blair began his legal career as an assistant district attorney in the Dallas County District Attorneys Office. He worked in that capacity for four years, eventually leaving to become a partner at Leake & Blair, PC. While in private practice, he specialized in divorce, child custody, criminal defense, and civil litigation.
His memberships have included the Republican Mens Group, the Kaufman Lions Club, and the Rotary Club of Terrell.
Raised in Mesquite, Blair graduated from Mesquite High School. His wife is a speech pathologist for Forney Independent School District. They are members of the First Baptist Church of Forney. When not presiding over the bench, Blair coaches Forney Youth Soccer, Baseball, and Upward Basketball.
He is registered as a Republican.
