The Hon. Brooke A. Blecher is a commissioner for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. She was appointed to the bench on August 27, 2018.
Blecher earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She briefly attended Pepperdine School of Law before transferring to the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, where she completed her J.D.
Prior to her appointment, Blecher worked as a Certified Family Law Specialist at Blecher & Hubbell. Over the course of her career in private practice, she handled move-away cases, post-judgment modifications, complex and large-assets matters, child and spousal support cases, custody matters, and dissolutions.
She has been a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, where she has served on its Family Law Executive Committee, its Education Committee, as well as its San Jose Regional Standing Committee on Legislation. She has also sat on the Board of Directors of the Addison Penzak Jewish Community Center.
Blecher is married with two children. When she is not presiding over cases, she enjoys running, reading, and spending time at the beach.
