Biography

The Hon. Bennett J. Brantmeier is a judge for the Jefferson County Circuit Court in Wisconsin. He was elected to the bench on April 4, 2017, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Randy Koschnick.

Prior to his election, Brantmeier was the City Attorney for the City of Jefferson. He also spent time as an attorney in private practice at Brantmeier Law and Latsch & Brantmeier, where he specialized in personal injury and criminal defense matters.

Brantmeier earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1989. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1992.

He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin (1992), the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin (1992), and the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin (1992).
