Biography

The Hon. Andrea K. Robertson is a judge for the King County Superior Court in Washington. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Jay Inslee on December 23, 2020, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Roger Rogoff.

Robertson earned a bachelor’s degree in pre-law from Eastern Washington University in 1995. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Washington School of Law in 1998. Robertson is also a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming.

After graduating from law school, Robertson began her legal career as a staff attorney for Snohomish County Public Defender Association. She worked in that capacity until 2000, at which time she entered into private practice as an associate in the Law Offices of Bradley Johnson.

Robertson left the firm in 2002. She then worked as an associate at Fox Bowman & Duarte (2002 to 2006) and the Rosen Law Firm (2006 to 2010) before opening Robertson Law with her spouse. Over the course of her legal career, Robertson specialized in criminal defense and civil protection matters as well as administrative actions before the Washington State Department of Licensing.

Her memberships have included the Washington Foundation for Criminal Justice. She also sits on the Interpreter Committee and the Dependency Committee of the King County Superior Court.

Robertson taught Advanced Trial Advocacy at the University of Washington School of Law.

Raised in Spokane, Washington, Robertson has been an ensemble improv performer with TheatreSports in Seattle. She is also an L2 certified CrossFit coach and enjoys hiking and alpine climbing.
