Biography

The Hon. Amy M. Williams is a judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jeb Bush in 2005, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of the late Hon. Charles W. Cope, IV (deceased).

The 6th Judicial Circuit encompasses Pasco County and Pinellas County.

Prior to her appointment, Williams was a judge for the Pinellas County Court, a position to which she was named in 1998. Before that, she was a sole practitioner in her own private practice.

Williams earned a B.A. in English from the University of Florida in 1977. She went on to complete a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law in 1980.

She was born in Cuba, New York.
