FL Bar #: 22622 (05/08/2006)
Appointed By: Gov. Ronald D. DeSantis
The Hon. Amanda Levy-Reis is a judge for the 20th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Levy-Reis was appointed to the bench by Governor Ron DeSantis on April 21, 2025, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Hon. Joseph Fuller.
The 20th Judicial Circuit serves Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry & Lee counties. While on the bench, she has held an assignment in the Unified Family Court Division in Collier County, where her docket also includes probate cases.
Prior to her appointment, Levy-Reis was a legal aid attorney at Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc, a position to which she was named in 2023. During this time, she represented underserved clients in family law matters. Before that, she was a judicial law clerk (2020 to 2023) to Hon. Helena Barch-Kuchta with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
She received a B.A. in sociology from Stetson University. Levy-Reis then completed a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law. She was admitted to practice in Florida (2006).
After graduating from law school, Levy-Reis began her legal career as a pro se staff attorney in the Fort Myers Division of the United States District Court Middle District of Florida, where she worked for almost twelve years before transitioning into the private sector.
In 2017, she became an attorney at Brennan Manna Diamond. For the next couple of years, she handled civil litigation matters at the firm, supplementing her practice as a civil traffic infraction hearing officer (2018 to 2020) for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Lee and Hendry counties.
Then, in 2020, Levy-Reis established CrossRoads Legal, where her solo practice included providing legal services on a contract-basis to other local law firms, as well as handling guardianship, breach of contract, real property, residential landlord-tenant, commercial landlord-tenant, and federal constitutional matters. Her time there was brief. Later that same year, she became a federal judicial law clerk in California.
A native of Southwest Florida, Levy-Reis was raised in Bonita Springs, and attended high school in Estero. In her free time, she has been involved with the Lee County Chapter of Young Life, a Christian organization focused on spreading the gospel to youth. Levy-Reis also enjoys attending the theater and spending time with her two goldendoodles.
