Judge Albert T. Harutunian III: Professional Background and Legal Expertise

The Hon. Albert T. Harutunian III is a judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County in California. He started serving on the Municipal Court of San Diego in 1995 and was elevated to the Superior Court of San Diego County in 1998.

Harutunian earned a bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College. He then received a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, he worked at Luce, Forward, Hamilton, and Scripps. During his fourteen-year tenure there, he specialized in employment law.

Harutunian served on the board of trustees of the San Diego County Public Law Library. He also served on the board of directors of the American Red Cross, the Crime Victims Fund, and the U.C. Berkeley Law School Alumni Association.

He was born in the original Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California.
