Biography

The Hon. Aiesha Redmond is a judge for the 160th (Civil) District Court in Dallas County, Texas. She was elected to the bench on November 6, 2018, and re-elected in 2022.

Prior to her election, Redmond was an assistant district attorney for the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, a position to which she was named in 2013. During her tenure there, she held assignments in the Civil Division and the Criminal Division.

Redmond earned a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Texas State University in 2004. Then, in 2007, she completed a J.D. at Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

After graduating from law school, Redmond entered into private practice. She worked as an associate at Baker Botts, representing corporations, government entities, and individuals in commercial litigation matters in federal and state court. She was also assigned to a variety of complex civil matters, including contractual issues, labor and employment, pharmaceutical, and construction litigation.

Her memberships have included the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, the Texas District & County Attorneys Association, and the American Bar Association.

Redmond currently resides in Desoto, Texas, with her husband and two children. They attend Disciple Central Community Church.

She is registered as a Democrat.
