COMES NOW Defendant, UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA BOARD OF TRUSTEES
d/b/a UF HEALTH EYE CENTER, a Florida Public Body Corporate, by and through the
undersigned attorneys, and pursuant to this Court’s Order Resetting Time of Case
Management Conference and requiring submission of Case Management Statement issued
on June 24, 2021, files this Case Management Statement, and states as follows:
A. A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE NATURE OF THE CASE:
This is a medical malpractice action in which Plaintiff alleges negligence in her
care and treatment. Defendant denies the allegations and has plead specific
affirmative defenses.
B. A LIST OF ALL CLAIMS AND DEFENSES THAT REMAIN FOR TRIAL:
1, Negligence on the part of the Defendants, if any.
2. Whether the alleged negligence was the proximate cause of MS. SNOW’S
injuries.

3. Damages.
4. Affirmative defenses raised by Defendants.

This case has yet to be mediated and is not currently scheduled for mediation.
F. ESTIMATED TIME NEEDED FOR DISCOVERY, PROPOSED TRIAL
DATE AND ESTIMATED LENGTH OF TRIAL
Defendant believes discovery can be completed by December 2022. Defendant
proposes an estimated trial date of February 2023. The estimated length of trial is
10-14 days.
G. ASTATEMENT AS TO WHETHER THE CASE LAW SHOULD BE
SET FOR JURY OR NON-JURY TRIAL.
This case should be set for a jury trial.
